The concept of exchange is in keeping with the Obama Care policy of making health insurance mandatory for every individual. One either opts for it or pays the hefty fine. Millions of uninsured Americans are finally going to come inside the safety net afforded by health plans. American citizens respond variably to this new government endeavor. 40% expect a major impact resultantly, 19% do not care one way or another, and another 39% consider that this health policy implementation will bring negligible change in their current situation.
There is a general interest among the public about the newly introduced reforms in the world of health care for Americans even if they are unable to respond correctly to health exchange queries. 73% of those questioned in the survey correctly answered that new reforms do not take into account pre-existing conditions when considering eligibility for health plan. Again, children can remain as a dependent on the policy until they reach 26 years of age. Approximately 66% answered this in the affirmative.
Less than 50% of those surveyed know that there is a limit to how much health insurance one can get but there is an unlimited coverage option available calculated in dollars. Regarding the whole Affordable Care Act 39% are somewhat knowledge, 28% have a general idea but have not yet delved deeply, 21% admitted to knowing nothing much and only 10% are quite confident regarding what they know.
The recent survey emphasizes the need to educate people regarding the health care reforms and the finer points of new health insurance plans. Otherwise, researchers fear that people will miss the available benefits or forget deadlines simply because they are uninformed or have wrong information. An understanding of the new law is crucial, if new Obama Care reforms are to succeed and help Americans in their time of medical need. Much has changed from the existing system and this naturally creates confusion that only proper education can dispel.
